Vitex agnus castus is a Western Herbal medicine, traditionally used to normalise heavy, absent or irregular periods and premenstrual syndrome.

Active ingredients per tablet

Vitex agnus-castus (chaste)
extract dry concentrate equivalent to dry fruit 660 mg

Dosage

Adults – Take 1 tablet 3 times a day before meals, or as professionally prescribed.

Children under 12 years – Only as professionally prescribed.

Dear Sarah, dosages of Vitex herb depend on the form it is in. Generally for dry fruit in sold-dose form, the recommended dosage is 1000- 2000 mg per day. The doses you mentioned may relate to the herb in a liquid form which can be more concentrated and therefore lower dosage recommendations. Hello, I wanted to ask if this product will help my period amount get more, it has been getting lesser and lesser the past feeble years.

Hi, recently I bought one bottle of vitex in chemist store and it smells different with the ones I bought previously. Before, the product has a light smell, while this one has a really strong smell, kind of pungent. Is it normal or does it mean the product has somehow gone bad?

Is this safe for teens (15) with very irregular periods or would you recommend getting a doctors opinion before using this product.
