Active ingredients per capsule

Cod liver oil (natural)
1000 mg

providing:

Vitamin A (300 µg RE) 1000 IU

Cholecalciferol 2.5 µg (vitamin D3 100IU)

Dosage

Adults – Take 1 to 3 capsules once a day with a meal, or as professionally prescribed.

Children 4-12 years – Take 1 capsule a day (pierce and squeeze into milk, juice or cereal), or as professionally prescribed.

Children under 4 years – only as professionally prescribed.

Warnings

Follow directions for use
If symptoms persist, change, or worsen talk to your health professional
Supplements may only be of assistance if dietary intake is inadequate
Contains sulfites and fish
WARNING - When taken in excess of 3000 microgram retinol equivalents, vitamin A can cause birth defects. If you are pregnant or considering becoming pregnant, do not take vitamin A supplements without consulting your doctor or pharmacist

Some products should be ceased at least two weeks before any elective surgery, please confirm with your health professional

Hi! I was just wondering whether the cod liver oil capsule is harder than the odourless fish oil ones? I'm asking because I bought it online from Indonesia and am just making sure that the online shop I bought it from is not selling fakes ones :) Is there also a clue to differentiate the fake from the real one? Thanks for your post. Cod liver oil is sourced from the Atlantic Cod fish from the North Atlantic Ocean. Blackmores Cod Liver Oil is extracted from the fresh livers of the cod. This oil is a natural source of vitamin A, vitamin D and also contains EPA and DHA.

Is this cod liver oil (CLO) concentrated or fortified in any way? An equivalent amount of liquid Melrose Cod Liver Oil (1ml) provides 187.5µg RE, 2µg cholecalciferol, as well as DHA/EPA in a typical 10:10-10:8 CLO ratio; 100mg and 97mg respectively. Blackmores does not list DHA/EPA, and its RE/cholecalciferol are 300µg and 2.5µg per 1ml respectively.
